Garden, Chickens, Leavitts and Fun!

So for a couple of weeks we worked on the garden at the Ball Farm.  We have had a great time working out in the dirt trying to get the garden enlarged, leveled, creating rows, planting the plants and then seeing what happens.  Mama and I decided that we don’t speak “child” very well because getting Nathan, Mandy, Katie, Caleb and Samuel to all work together is somewhat of a miracle – lots of chiefs and really only one Indian.   We are also raising some chickens to eat and get some eggs from – they are growing very quickly. 

I spent a week in Weslaco for work (it is near Brownsville if you were wondering) and the kids had Spring Break.  The kids spent the week with Kris and Rob was home some – they had a pretty god time – I am sure that Disney Land or World – where they asked to go a week before to go would have been better but oh well.  I guess just a glimpse of summer I suppose – they should be thrilled.  

We had the fortunate visit of my sister Donna and her family today.  Next month we are having a Passover Dinner and there was confusion on the date.  So, we got to eat some yummy food, visit, play and have some great desserts – anyone coming for the Passover will love the desserts.  It was an unexpected but very nice surprise!
