On August 2nd Kathrine Anastasia Ricks turned the ripe old age of 11! Katie’s birthday fell on a traveling day for us so she celebrated before, during and after. Here she is opening Grandparents Ball’s gift – which he loves and uses all of the time – while we were camping with Rob’s family. Her birthday we were in Yellowstone – she said it was he best birthday ever! We had swiss cake rolls and sang happy birthday to our girl as we drove. Later we went shopping and got stuff to go with her new quilt I made for her room. Overall,I think it was a good day or days.

6 – she wants to learn to sew better and gets to work with me on it

8 – is trying to learn the gospel and complete her Faith in God award
9 – is able to notice when she feels the Spirit and identify it to others
10 – isn’t afraid to play rough with her brothers
11 – has found that with a little courage 6th grade isn’t so terribly horrible! :)
