Life

So it seems in life that when it rains it pours sometimes with great things, sometimes not so great and sometimes a mixture of things.  For us it is no different.  Our life is pretty busy – 5 kids, 2 jobs, 2 commutes (one much longer than the other), travel for work, summer camp, trying to sell a house, etc., etc.  Everyone’s life is crazy and hectic and most of the time I thrive on that.  But every once in a while I feel a bit overwhelmed by everything.

This month it seemed like if there was something that might break it did – the stove, the dryer (twice), etc. etc.  Rob and I worked on the dryer and replaced the heating element one fun night – almost like a date we were the only one there, we spent money and we got very close (you have to in order to get the machine to work right) Smile.  I do have to say that while we spent money we did save a ton because I have a very smart and capable husband. Then the next week I was drying clothes and smelt something awful – the belt burning up!  What fun – so I had two loads of wet clothes and no way to dry them.  Rob and I put up a clothes line and we dried the clothes and Rob went off to Lowes to buy the part.  Another fun date later we had a working and actually drying machine – I am amazed at the simpleness of the machine.

Last week I spent most of the time in El Paso for work after an uneventful but very relaxing Forth of July.
