Work wise for Rob and I the past few weeks have been a bit different. Rob has been temporarily reassigned to a campus that is about 5 minutes away which is good but comes with longer hours and no frig for food, etc. So, he has been busy at work helping with State reporting. For myself our project went "live" and so I have been blessed to figure out all of the answers to all of the problems, work with our programmer and try and get my boss (who is rarely in town) to answer my questions. It has been super fun so far – but so very nice to see all of my hard work in action finally! I am only about a week off my timeline (which is almost a miracle in research) so I am feeling pretty good about that.
In the family we have had a pretty mellow week with FHE, and the other “normal” activities. On Friday I decided that we were going to go to the park and have a picnic dinner and play. It was a nice end to a week. These pictures are pretty grainy but it is because of the it got dark super fast on us.
On Saturday we had a crazy day. We had an appointment to meet with the accountant to do our taxes – well worth the trip! Then we had all the normal stuff laundry, cleaning, the yard, etc. At 2:00 the Hutsons, a family in our ward, came over and brother and sister Huston and Rob and I went to the temple and then out to eat. Later we ate out and then came home for game night. We had a fun game night with the Hutsons and Mama and Daddy, Nathan and Mandy. We had a great time – hopefully next month some other people can come.
Sunday we had our typical “dinner snack” of popcorn, nuts, apples, nutella and peanut butter (I stole the idea from the Blacks). We have church at 11:00 and so we eat lunch usually between 2:30-3:30. Elizabeth, who is waling in short bursts loves popcorn just like the other kids. Usually I am really vigilant about watching here but she did great tonight with eat and just kept asking for more. She is growing up way to fast!
Hope your week was great!
