So I am only a week late but we had a pretty good first week of school. We are excited that in the school of open classrooms (no walls) that Samuel gets a room with walls. We are really excited about what that means for him and his ability to pay more attention and really achieve what he is capable of. Caleb has one room with walls too so that is exciting for him. Katie seems to be enjoying the classes she has. She worked hard and tried out for the 7th grade volleyball team but didn’t make it – we were really proud of all her hard work though. So here are the customary first day od school pictures in front of the house. Unfortunately the light wasn’t the best but they are OK pictures.
While the big kids were at school the babies played and played. I went up stairs at one point and noticed how Marlissa had taken every single train track we have and attached them together to create a track about 12 feet or so long – all without help. I thought that was pretty good for a 2 year old. It was hard to get a good perspective on the track but I tried. She and Elizabeth have been having a great time with the trains.
For some very random reason the babies love to lie down on the tile floor in our kitchen. Sometimes the boys like to join them. Aren’t they cute? Notice the prince shoes – she is one and walks in high heels perfectly – not her Mama! My niece Jessi used to be obsessed with shoes around the age E is and so it is fun to watch again – Jessi was also great in heels at one!
Finally, I wanted to try Marlissa’s hair out with soft curlers. Well – they went in just fine – just didn’t stay very long – I found curler parts all around her crib when I got her up the next morning. I think we will wait a little while longer to try again.

Too sweet. Glad the first week went well. You could always try rag curlers they may stay in better! :)
